When folk hear "hoodoo" or " voodoo", they instantly have a negative reaction. Ungodly terms + thoughts such as — bad, darkness, "devil worship", evil, scary & more will come to mind. My purpose for creating Moon Child Magick is to provide a judgement free space where folks have a chance to experience spirituality in their own light while revealing its true power.

I focus on maintaining the authenticity of Hoodoo + Vodou by providing ingredients, items, products, supplies, the unusual + making readings & rootwork accessible for rootworkers and spiritual individualist, to shop to stock for their spiritual lifestyle and/or practices.

Moon Child Magick has been created for all my folks + the "moon children" out there!

I picture them to be creative practitioners [rootworkers, conjurers] and/or spiritual individualist who are Afrikan Amerikan descendants + is being led in their spiritual awakening w| intent to pursue their calling.

My intentions of building Moon Child Magick is to keep us in tune to the light & power we possess while being able to provide a safe spiritual space where "we", may not only shop to stock, but do so comfortably while coming across spiritual supplies, items, all kinds of finds + ingredients that relates to our ancestral background & can also be used in our spiritual lifestyle + practice...

Hand-crafted, the uneasily found + unidentifiable, the latest to newest finds, the paranormal, well needed supplies, resources & services for your craftwork, rituals + holistic lifestyle is what I make available to you. How you decide to use the products, items + information, will solely be at your discretion.

As a Moon Child, you must put in the work of researching for self. As Folk you must trust in your gifts & bloodline. I'm prepared to shine a little light. I'd expect you to step out of the darkness & meet me where it's bright. Save what you learn, keep what you know & ensure to allow your creativity to glow for the best phase day.

The roots of Moon Child Magick

Being a stressed-out shoe boutique owner, while making continuous trips to a metaphysical store that related more to WICCAN practices, is how spirit led me to create my own botanica boutique.

As a previous shoetique owner, the struggle was fxcking real. You'd find shoes that you believe your customers would love. They'd engage in your posts regarding new looks + styles. Now you reach out to vendors to purchase the product. While both vendors have you purchase in MOQ, U.S. vendors are expensive and don't allow you to choose which sizes you need but have better quality and quicker shipment dates. While the vendors overseas are cheaper, allowing you to choose which sizes you need but the worst quality w| the longest ship dates.

JUST ASS BACKWARDS OK🙄❌🤣!!

It was so annoying. It felt like money gouging. There was no win-win. Then on top of that, I was still working to support my business and my client ended up passing, so there was my job. My job was my main resource for funding my shoe boutique. I was stressed. I spiritually awakened in 2020, so I did what I do best when stressed. I isolated + visited the metaphysical store to purchase products for my craftwork + spiritual joy. As pleasant as they try to be, I found it hard to find a lot of things that I needed anytime I did visit. The only metaphysical stores in my area that I could find were white owned and tended to the needs and likes of those who practice WICCA more so than my spirituality. The botanicas that possibly had what I needed, I could not find. Either it didn't exist or had an unfindable address.

01.01.2024 I received a message from my Spiritual Team to not completely shut down my shoe boutique, but to change it to something extraordinary. Something I enjoyed doing most that didn't stress me out. I find myself to be the most passionate when it came to my family + my spirituality. Constantly learning within my craft, I thought to self, I could make it to where my generations to come would be abundantly set. I came up with the idea to open a metaphysical boutique store for those of Afrikan + Native Amerikan descent. As well as spiritualist who has been led to know more about their "ancestory", their culture + practitioners looking to top up on some needed supplies.

A botanica!

Those who are not descendants but are interested in being educated on our practice + purchasing products, without trying to appropriate would be more than ok to do just that!

Coming up w| the name was not an issue. I simply took the alternative spiritual name that I'd refer to myself as, "Moon Child", which is derived from my zodiac sign. In addition to becoming one w| Hoodoo + Vodou, by accepting the power within my bloodline & becoming a great witch -"magick" was the perfect additive to my business's name.

By 01.07.2024, Moon Child Magick was created and established on 01.24.2024.

& Now, my generational curse is broken.
